Job summary

Buchheit Inc in Kirksville, Missouri is seeking a part-time cashier to assist customers, answer questions, and support shoppers in person and over the phone.

You will process transactions at the POS, handle payments, issue receipts, balance the cash drawer, stock front lanes, and keep the area clean and safe. A friendly attitude and flexible schedule are required.

This role reports to Store Manager in Retail Store department. Flexible shifts and customer service focus are essential to success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions using scanner and POS system
• Collect payment from customers and make change for cash transactions
• Give printed receipts and invoices to customer
• Refer customer complaints to management
• Safety awareness of anything in store that may be hazard to employees or customers
• Balance cash drawer
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Stock merchandise on shelves at the front lanes
• Bring in carts from outside
• Additional duties, as assigned
