Job Overview

Northfield Cub is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a part-time cashier position! Cashiers at Cub follow front end checkout procedures in all transactions, maintain positive customer relations, and process all orders efficiently. This position involves ongoing customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates
• Perform product scanning and processing of customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Handle all forms of tender and coupons properly
• Manage voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges accurately
• Assist with customer questions or requests
• Maintain front end cleanliness and organization

Job Requirements

• Operate equipment such as scanners, registers, approval machines, coupon machines, intercoms, calculators, etc.
• Able to stand for long periods
• Good reading, writing, memorization, and math skills
• Provide ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Use good judgment, especially when supervision is not immediately available
• Follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; request supplies as needed
• Work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be at least 16 years old

Physical Requirements

• Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions
