Job Title: Part-Time Customer Service Associate

This is a part-time position. The primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs, exceeding their expectations, and making every shopping visit pleasant and satisfying. Responsibilities include following proper bagging procedures, providing carryout and parcel pickup services, loading merchandise into customer vehicles, and returning shopping carts to the store.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Essential Duties: Must be able to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Associates must be at least 16 years old.
2. Personal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in required training and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
3. Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and correspondence in English. Ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings with English-speaking customers, clients, and colleagues.
4. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
5. Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions and solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
6. Certificates and Training: Completion of company training programs including new hire orientation, customer service, safety, bagging techniques, and product knowledge.
7. Physical Demands: Must regularly stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to lift/move up to 40 pounds and reach from 6 to 72 inches. Vision requirements include close vision and depth perception.
8. Work Environment: The work may involve exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and cold temperatures. Noise level is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
