The University of South Carolina is seeking a Part-Time Cashier for its USC Upstate campus. This role involves accepting, recording, and reconciling cash receipts while providing exceptional customer service to students and their families. Ideal candidates will have cash handling experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to assisting others.
Office hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with flexible scheduling. Extended hours are required during peak months of August and January.

To assist cashier’s office in accepting, recording, posting and reconciling the cash receipts function within Student Account Services department. To support customer relations tasks by helping students and parents monitor and apply payment on their respective accounts. To handle large volume of phone calls, emails and answer questions related to the cashier’s office.
Part time accounts receivable and customer service representative needed to receive and deposit university funds per USC Upstate policies and to provide excellent customer service to students and families.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma and 2 years’ experience cash handling or equivalent. Successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Functional knowledge of MS office products, intermediate math capabilities and ability to operate adding machines, calculators and credit card equipment. Understanding of balancing and closing out daily cash receipting process. Must be able to balance cash receipts daily. Must possess computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office products. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to perform basic math functions.
