Job summary

IGA Market in St. Stephen, SC seeks a flexible part-time Cashier/Guest Service Clerk to join our family-owned grocery team. You will handle Sales, Cash and Invoice Accounting, assist guests, and maintain daily cash Office security with accurate tills.

You will need a friendly, outgoing personality, good math and computer skills, and the ability to stand for long periods. We offer weekly pay, flexible schedules, and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs occasionally and 15 lbs constantly.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of front end operations.
• Ability to supervise hosts including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Demonstrate successful use of math skills.
• Ability to work well with computers.

Responsibilities

• Sales, Cash and Invoice Accounting tasks and documentation.
• Prepare weekly cash report and accompanying documentation.
• Maintain sales related information and process invoices.
• Process beer/wine payments and related transactions.
• Prepare bank deposits and oversee cashier support activities.
• Ensure cash office security and accuracy of tills.
