Job summary

Meijer is hiring entry-level team members to support everyday store operations and customer service across departments. As a cart attendant, you will help keep the store exterior and interior clean, assist customers, and participate in a variety of retail tasks related to service, product placement, and safety.

You will be part of a team that values friendly, proactive service and flexibility in a fast-paced retail environment, contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Qualifications

• Highly-organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or using equipment.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
