ComForCare Home Care – PG County is hiring caregivers to provide high-quality, hands-on care to seniors in their homes in Prince George’s County. Join a compassionate team where your work matters and you can help with daily living activities, mobility, meals and companionship.

Qualifications

• Passion for helping others and improving lives.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior caregiver experience (home care or facility setting).
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (required).
• CNA certification is a plus.
• CPR certification.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to meet physical demands of caregiving.
• Familiarity with Hoyer lifts is preferred, but willingness to be trained is absolutely welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, hands-on personal care services.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and hygiene.
• Support mobility and transfers.
• Assist with eating, meal planning and feeding.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety procedures.
• Perform light housekeeping and errands as needed.

What You’ll Do

You will provide high-quality, hands‑on care and support, including:

Personal Care Services

• Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, nail/skin care, oral hygiene


• Mobility support including transfers, ambulation, positioning, and range of motion exercises


• Toileting and incontinence care (bedpan, commode, urinal support)


• Meal planning, preparation, and feeding assistance


• Emotional support through companionship, conversation, and engagement


• Safe use of assistive devices (walker, cane, crutches, etc.)


• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation


• Following all agency policies, infection control, and safety procedures

Household Support

• Light housekeeping (cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, bathroom and kitchen care)


• Client laundry only


• Grocery shopping and basic errands


• Other supportive tasks as mutually agreed with client and agency
