The Arc of Centre County is hiring Part-Life Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism in their homes. Located in State College, PA.

No two days look exactly the same. You might help someone make breakfast, drive them to work, or simply spend time doing something they enjoy. You're there to support people in making their own choices, reaching their goals, building independence, and staying active in their community.

No Experience Needed (paid training)

Job Title: Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Pay: $17/hour + Shift Differentials + $600 Sign-on Bonus

Location: State College, PA (we also have PT openings in Bellefonte!)

Schedule: Part-Time, Mornings and/or Weekends Preferred!

Schedule & Pay

• Starting pay: $17/hour + $600 sign-on/stay-on bonus
• +$1/hour differentials for late nights, weekends, and holidays (differentials can stack!)
• Opportunities for extra shifts & overtime (time-and-a-half)

Benefits

• 26 hours of paid training per year
• 6 premium holidays annually (time-and-a-half pay)
• Mileage reimbursed at $0.725/mile if using personal vehicle to transport individuals
• 401(K) Retirement Plan

Required Qualifications

• 18+ years of age

Preferred, But Not Required

• Experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism (IDD/A)
• Experience in direct care, caregiving, behavioral health, or healthcare

• Professional Training: We invest in our DSPs by supporting NADSP credentialing that recognize the important work they do every day. Credentialed DSPs earn an extra $1/hour per credentialed level, up to $3!
