Job description

We are looking for a part-time compassionate caregiver/CNA to join our growing team!

The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide various levels of support to our clients.

Position Details:

11 hours per week available in Xenia, IL

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Help clients take prescribed medication and assist with ambulation.
• Assist with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Plan and prepare meals.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to do so.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Support activities essential for daily living, including assisting patients with meals, serving, and related tasks.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to learn and improve skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job duties.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily.
• Compassionate and supportive demeanor.
• Availability to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environments.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, or completion of a CNA program, or experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or HHA.
• Supportive attitude and pride in providing high-quality care.
• Experience with Hoyer Lift (specific to client).
