Job summary

Mercor is seeking an experienced cardiologist for a part-time consulting role focused on improving an AI model that identifies patients likely to have transthyretin (ATTR) cardiac amyloidosis through chart review and evidence-based reasoning.

You will review patient charts, document clinical reasoning with clear criteria, and refine assessments based on new AI feedback. Collaboration with engineers and data scientists is essential.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship.
• 2+ years of post-fellowship cardiology experience.
• Hands-on experience with ATTR cardiomyopathy and ordering/interpreting PYP scans.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts and assess likelihood of ATTR cardiac amyloidosis.
• Document clinical reasoning using evidence-based criteria and distinguish ATTR from similar conditions.
• Explain decisions to engineers and data scientists and complete labeling within timelines.
