Job summary

Bridgewater Bagel & Coffee is hiring a Work Study BSU Success Program Mentor to support student engagement at Bridgewater State University. You will partner with academic staff to provide assistance and guidance to mentees and contribute to various initiatives.

The ideal candidate will inspire and motivate students, demonstrating strong interpersonal and cultural sensitivity skills. This role requires flexible hours and involvement in various student-focused activities throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate ability to engage effectively with students.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with mentees.
• Understanding of cultural sensitivity in educational environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and assessing SSEI events throughout the academic year.
• Support the BSU Success Program team in developing mentor programming.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with mentees.
• Provide peer-to-peer support to assigned mentees.
• Attend program workshops and connect with mentees for a minimum of 8 hours per month.
