Job summary

Millard West High School is seeking a Campus Security team member to help maintain safety on and around school grounds. The hours are 11:30 to 3:30, Monday through Friday, with a part-time schedule.

The role involves monitoring student activity, supervising entrances and grounds, greeting visitors, and de-escalating disruptive situations quickly and calmly. Applicants must be able to interact with high school students.

Qualifications

• Must possess the ability to interact and relate to high school-age adolescents.
• Must possess the ability to calmly and quickly de-escalate disruptive situations as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student activity in and around school grounds throughout the school day.
• Supervise halls, building entrances, and building grounds to help ensure appropriate student behavior while assessing situations that may pose risk or concern to the safety of students, staff, and building visitors.
• Greet individuals as they come into the building.
• Qualified applicants must possess the ability to interact and relate to high school-age adolescents.
• Qualified applicants must possess the ability to calmly and quickly de-escalate disruptive situations as they arise.
