Job summary

All Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Security Officer in Riverhead, NY. You will provide customer service, deter incidents, and patrol educational facilities while monitoring access points and reporting hazards.

This role requires a valid driver’s license and a background check, with on-site shifts that offer flexible scheduling through our shift-claim platform. Ideal candidates bring security or related experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to handle emergencies calmly.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of educational buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, maintain awareness of campus conditions, and report observed hazards, policy concerns, and/or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.
