Job summary

Allied Universal in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time, Unarmed Patrol) to protect campus and facilities. You will provide customer service to students, staff and visitors, conduct patrols, deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

This position offers flexible scheduling with set shifts on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and is a great entry into a national security team with growth opportunities and recurring training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, event support, and campus traffic or pedestrian flow as assigned.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to the appropriate personnel.
