Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Emergency Support Patrol Security Officer in West Valley City, UT. This role offers a flexible schedule with day and night shifts and opportunities to learn the Claim a Shift platform.

You will patrol campus areas, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors. The position requires a minimum age of 18 (21 for armed roles) and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• A guard card is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to campus community members, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report maintenance issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with site requirements.
