Job summary

Ivy Tech Evansville is seeking a Part Time Law Enforcement officer to protect campus facilities, people, and property. Responsibilities include patrols, incident reporting, and coordination with local agencies.

The role requires Indiana LEO academy graduation, current sworn status, and maintaining certifications. Schedule is Monday–Friday with occasional weekends for events; hourly pay $40–$45 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
• Must be a sworn officer employed by a Vanderburgh County Law Enforcement Agency in a part time or full time position.
• Maintain all Indiana certifications as a sworn officer throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze situations quickly and take appropriate action.
• Coordinate with Police, Health Services, or Emergency Services as needed.
• Provide escort services to students and staff.
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Provide first aid or health-related assistance as needed.
• Assist students and visitors with directions and information.
• Patrol campus buildings to check safety concerns.
• Lock/unlock buildings and evacuate in emergencies.
• Assist with Clery Act compliance and incident reporting.
• Serve as Campus Security Authority under the Jeanne Clery Act.
