Job summary

Oregon State University is seeking eight part-time Student Landscape Maintenance Worker positions in the Facilities Services – Landscape Shop. You will perform pruning, weeding, mulching, mowing, planting, pavement cleaning, leaf and litter removal, manual watering, and snow/ice removal, plus operate mowers, weed-eaters, edgers, and backpack blowers.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 6:00am–4:30pm; up to 24 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Teamwork, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather, stand for long periods of time, and able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
• This position requires driving a University vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the University; driver standards apply.

Responsibilities

• Pruning, Weeding, Mulching, Mowing, Planting.
• Pavement cleaning, Leaf removal, Litter removal, Manual watering.
• Snow/ice removal and operating power equipment (mowers, weed-eaters, edgers, backpack blowers).
