Job summary

Global University Systems is seeking a Student Ambassador for Avila University Arizona in Goodyear, AZ. This part-time, non-exempt role supports campus engagement, promotes programs and services, and serves as a friendly link between students and campus leadership.

Ambassadors handle on-site and virtual initiatives, assist with events, create materials, gather student feedback, and help connect peers with staff and resources.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to collaborate, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
• Interest in leadership, community engagement, and student support.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during campus events.

Responsibilities

• Promote campus programs and events through in-person outreach and digital tools.
• Serve as a friendly and knowledgeable contact for students.
• Share campus information and opportunities to help students navigate their graduate journey.
• Assist with planning and execution of campus events, including open houses, residencies, webinars, and student workshops.
• Support event logistics before, during, and after programs (set-up, check-in, engagement activities, and clean-up).
• Help create a welcoming and engaging environment for all attendees.
• Collaborate with campus leadership to develop materials, social media content, and event visuals.
• Contribute ideas for student programming based on peer feedback and emerging needs.
• Assist in creating flyers, presentations, and digital communications.
• Build relationships with fellow students to understand their experiences and needs.
• Share student feedback and ideas with campus leadership to support improvement.
• Help connect students to campus staff, services, and external resources.
• Represent Avila University Arizona at community events and networking opportunities in the West Valley.
• Participate in partnerships with local organizations and nonprofits to expand opportunities.
