University of Northwestern – St. Paul invites applications for a Student Accompanist in the Department of Music. The role centers on accompanying musical ensembles or soloists on the university campus, contributing to rehearsals and performances under faculty direction.

Qualifications

• Audition ability with designated music faculty
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Interact professionally with diverse individuals

Responsabilités

• Accompany choir, ensembles, soloists, and/or musical theater rehearsals and performances as assigned
• Independently practice and become proficient in assigned musical selections prior to rehearsals and performances
• Assist directors and instructors by following rehearsal direction, maintaining tempo, and supporting musical instruction
• Participate in rehearsals, concerts, auditions, competitions, and other music department activities
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisors
