• Assist with daily cafeteria cleaning duties including cleaning equipment, mopping, and operating dishwashers.
• Clean up lines at end of meal shifts and dispose of leftovers.
• Safely operate standard and specialized kitchen equipment (convection ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, warmers, coolers, freezers).
• Set up serving lines with appropriate serving equipment.
• Maintain clean work areas and proper waste disposal.

Job description

We are currently hiring multiple Part Time Food Service/Cafeteria Workers for local schools in Tempe, AZ.

HOURS & COMPENSATION

• Monday - Friday 7:30am to 1:00pm (hours vary per location)
• $15.50/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine food preparation tasks, such as cutting up fruits and vegetables, making and wrapping sandwiches and salads.
• Set up and stock work areas with all necessary ingredients and equipment.
• Assist with daily cleaning duties in the cafeteria including cleaning equipment and work areas, mopping, operating dishwasher and/or scrubbing pots and pans.
• Cleaning up lines at the end of the meal shift, and putting away/disposing of leftovers.
• Safely operate standard and specialized kitchen equipment, including convection/combi ovens, microwave ovens, dishwashers, food warmers, coolers and freezers.
• Set up a serving line with appropriate serving equipment
• Clean work areas and dispose of garbage daily.
