Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Cafeteria Worker to deliver excellent customer service while preparing, serving, and displaying food in a safe, sanitary manner. This role supports daily cafeteria operations, maintains food quality, stocks supplies, operates a cash register, and ensures a welcoming dining environment.

The position is part-time (20 hours per week) with a morning shift from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service, cafeteria, retail, or customer service preferred.
• Basic cash handling, math, and POS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and serve food and beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Operate cash register and food service equipment accurately and efficiently.
• Stock and replenish food, beverages, condiments, utensils, and supplies.
• Maintain attractive food displays and ensure proper labeling.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, serving areas, dining rooms, and storage areas.
• Monitor food temperatures and document required food safety records.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food and supplies.
• Transport food, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Dispose of waste and maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
