Job summary

Friendship Village of Dublin is seeking a Server to join our Culinary Department. Provide 5-star service to residents and guests, build meaningful relationships, and uphold dining standards in a retirement community setting.

The role focuses on greeting guests, taking orders, delivering meals promptly, and maintaining clean, sanitary work areas. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Able to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred; training provided.
• Able to interpret and explain menu items, coordinate meal service and respond to guest requests.
• Works well with residents, guests, families, and team members with courtesy and tact.

Responsibilities

• Greets residents and guests with a smile and answers questions about menu items.
• Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order.
• Takes orders, serves guests, and delivers items promptly.
• Attends to guests throughout the dining experience and clears tables.
• Maintains sanitary conditions and adheres to dress code and hygiene standards.
• Participates in training and performs duties as assigned by supervisor.

We are looking for a Server within our Culinary Department to provide 5-star service and create meaningful and lasting relationships with those who call Friendship Village home, our Residents!

• Greets residents and guests with a smile and answers pertinent questions about menu items.
• Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order.
• Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
• Delivers food in a timely manner and attends to the needs of the guests throughout the dining experience.
• Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.
• Provides consistently high levels of customer service for our residents and their guests, adapting to the needs and service level expectations associated with each dining location.
• Assists with dish washing and distribution of clean dishes if needed.
• Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas.
• Exhibits acceptable standards of personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
• Completes all assigned cleaning tasks.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
