Job summary

Books-A-Million in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a friendly Barista to support our in-store café. Under the supervision of the General Manager, you will operate café equipment, prepare coffee and baked goods, and deliver excellent customer service during each transaction.

This part-time role requires energy, reliability, and the ability to stand for long periods, follow sanitation guidelines, and balance cash at the end of shifts. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of required background screenings.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and operate cafe machines.
• Physical ability to stand long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide exceptional service at each transaction.
• Operate café equipment and prepare coffee, drinks, and baked goods.
• Maintain cleanliness per sanitation guidelines and company policies.
• Stock and merchandise cafe items and keep an organized environment.
• Balance cash drawer and participate in POS initiatives as needed.
• Assist bookstore operations as required.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
