Comanche Nation Transit is seeking a part-time Bus Operator in Lawton, OK. This role involves safely operating buses on scheduled routes, making passenger pickups on dispatched requests, and responding to medical emergencies as needed, under the Transit Director's supervision.

Responsibilities include performing pre/post trip inspections, maintaining vehicles, completing logs, and promoting a courteous, safe environment for riders.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Six months experience operating public transportation or six months on-the-job Transit training.
• Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver's License Class D.
• Able to pass an extensive background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to communicate orally, in writing, and via computerized systems.
• Travel may be in state, out of state, local, or at tribal transit facility.

Aufgaben

• Provide safe and efficient transportation for the patrons of the Transit Department on a scheduled route.
• Operate the bus following Transit policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Perform thorough pre/post trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean vehicle inside and out and keep logs/records as required.
• Attend transit staff meetings and contribute to a respectful, well‑organized work environment.
