Job summary

Bevara Building Services is seeking a Part-Time Building Engineer for our Williston, North Dakota medical office building. You will maintain building systems, oversee vendor visits, and ensure safety and compliance with OSHA standards. The role emphasizes a proactive, versatile, jack-of-all-trades approach in a professional setting.

The position requires basic computer skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training and detailed safety guidelines will be provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and make independent decisions.
• Basic computer skills and smartphone proficiency (email, texts, work order systems).
• Current and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular assessments of building systems.
• Perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and respond to service requests for interior and exterior building equipment.
• Manage work order requests related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Proactively maintain an ongoing task list for the property management team.
• Serve as the primary contact for vendors, overseeing check-in/out and documenting work completed.
• Assist with fire panel and extinguisher inspections.
• Maintain a safe job site and adhere to safety standards.
• Conduct yourself professionally in line with company values.

About the Position

As a Part-Time Building Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the property’s physical condition and safeguarding it against damage, loss, and deterioration.

The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, and versatile- a true jack of all trades.

What you’ll be doing

• Conduct regular assessments of building systems.
• Perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and respond to service requests for both interior and exterior building equipment.
• Manage work order requests related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
• Proactively maintain an ongoing task list for the property management team.
• Serve as the primary contact for vendors, overseeing their check-in/out process and escorting them to their work areas while documenting the work completed.
• Assist with fire panel and extinguisher inspections.

Requirements

• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
