Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and President, the Part‑Time Odoo Bookkeeper owns the day‑to‑day bookkeeping cycle in Odoo Accounting—posting transactions, reconciling accounts, managing payables/receivables, and supporting timely month‑end closes, sales‑tax filings, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Transaction Processing: Post daily bank, credit‑card, and merchant‑service transactions in Odoo with accurate coding and project tags.
• Accounts Receivable: Create/send invoices, monitor aging, and follow up on past‑due balances inside Odoo.
• Accounts Payable: Enter and schedule vendor bills; prepare weekly A/P runs and remittance advice via Odoo Payments.
• Bank & Balance‑Sheet Reconciliations: Reconcile all bank, credit‑card, loan, inventory, and clearing accounts monthly; resolve variances promptly.
• Payroll & Sales‑Tax Support: Record bi-weekly payroll JEs from Gusto into Odoo; prepare monthly Colorado & local sales‑tax returns for review.
• Month‑End Close: Assist with depreciation, inventory adjustments, COGS, and produce preliminary financials and variance notes.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend process enhancements, document SOPs, and contribute data for EOS scorecards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 3+years hands‑on bookkeeping for a product or manufacturing company (RV/automotive a plus).
• Systems: Proven proficiency with Odoo Accounting/ERP (posting, reconciliations, custom reports).
• Technical: Solid grasp of GAAP, A/R & A/P cycles, inventory and COGS accounting, and sales‑tax rules.
• Tools: Excel/Google Sheets; cloud file management; G-Suite.
• Soft Skills: Detail‑oriented, self‑directed, reliable, and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Education: Associate’s degree or bookkeeping certificate preferred (equivalent experience accepted).

KPIs

• A/R aging >30days kept below 5% of outstanding balance.
• A/P processed within net‑term minus 2 days on average.
• Complete monthly sales‑tax filings 100% on or before due dates.
• Financial statements delivered to the Director of Finance within an agreed close timeline.

What We Offer

• Hourly Rate: $24–$36 per hour · commensurate with direct Odoo Accounting experience. (We value—and pay for—platform fluency. Candidates who already post, reconcile, and file sales tax in Odoo can expect to be compensated appropriately)
• Retainer Option: Prefer a flat monthly arrangement? We’re open to a $1,000–$1,500 retainer for roughly 5–10 hours of service per week (20–40hrs/month), with scope reviewed quarterly.
