YMCA of Greater Hartford is seeking a part-time Birthday Party Attendant in Putnam, CT. The role supports daily program operations, organizes activities, and creates a fun, safe environment for children at birthday celebrations.

Responsibilities include coordinating games, ensuring safety, greeting families, and upholding YMCA policies. CPR/First Aid certification is required within 60 days of hire, and weekend availability is essential.

Qualifications

• 16+ years of age required.
• Six months to one year of experience working with children.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operation of program(s) under Youth Program Director.
• Organize and implement activities and games for children.
• Create a fun, enthusiastic environment for parties.
• Develop and maintain high levels of customer service with members and guests.
• Set up community room and party areas; clean up after parties.
• Communicate with parents/party hosts to meet needs and expectations.
• Greet members warmly and listen/respond promptly.
• Facilitate birthday party activities; keep children active, engaged, and safe.
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve problems, following through to completion.
• Work as a YMCA team member and collaborate with staff.
• Ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all members regardless of background.
• Monitor participation and provide feedback; maintain overall cleanliness of YMCA.
• Enforce YMCA policies and emergency procedures.
