Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Biology or related discipline.
• One degree (Bachelor’s or Postgraduate) must be in Biology and the other in the same or a related discipline.
• Related disciplines to Biology include Life Sciences, Medical, or Biochemical, or any other academic science degree with >=12 credits of Biology or Life Science courses, or a degree in any other academic field accompanied by a significant number (>=18 credits or equivalent) of Biology or Life Science courses.
• Broad experience with fundamental biological concepts.
• Evidence of ability to successfully teach diverse student populations.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusive practices and working with diverse student populations.
• Successful interview.
• Successful teaching demonstration for class teaching assignments.
• Successful completion of three background checks.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate biology courses on an as-needed basis, including lecture and laboratory.
• Teach BIOL 100/101 and possibly core lab-based courses based on need.
• Contribute to engaging and inclusive learning environments.
