The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a part-time Research Assistant in the Central Pennsylvania Research and Teaching Laboratory for Biofuels (CPRTLB) to assist with metabolic engineering of industrial hemp.

Responsibilities include tissue culture media preparation, sterile explant culture, DNA/RNA/Protein isolation, data collection and analysis, and contributing to publications, along with assisting with cancer cell line work and cannabinoid pathway gene engineering in E.

• Routine upkeep of the laboratory and greenhouse.
• Collect, analyze data and involve in publishing papers as co-authors.
• Assist with working on cancer cell lines and engineering cannabinoid pathway genes in E.Coli.
• Assist PI and Director of the laboratory with other duties as assigned.
