Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. in Tulsa is seeking a Part-Time Bikes and Exercise Sales Associate to greet customers, understand needs, and recommend products while promoting the Scheels Visa.

You’ll hit personal sales goals, maintain floor displays, assist with restocking, train new associates, and use an inventory scanner and PC to manage stock. This role emphasizes teamwork, ownership, and delivering a personalized customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1–3 months of sales experience preferred.
• Ability to use a handheld inventory scanner and PC to support sales and stock.
• Willingness to engage customers, upsell, and promote Scheels Visa.
• Able to lift and retrieve items from heights and assist with merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor with courtesy to create a welcoming environment.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging customers, identifying needs, and promoting products and the Scheels Visa.
• Achieve personal sales goals, follow Scheels sales standards, and provide an above-and-beyond customer experience.
• Maintain attractive visual merchandising and assist with freight processing and inventory restocking.
• Demonstrate product usage and retrieve products from heights of greater than 6 ft; attend training and meetings.
• Assist in training new associates and use PC/handheld inventory tools (AS400, MS Office, Google Docs).
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile, to ensure they feel welcomed the moment they enter your shop
• Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
• Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards and the steps of the sale to provide an above-and-beyond customer experience
• Create a positive end-user experience based on the products the customer is purchasing
• Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking
• Ability to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ft
• Attend all required Scheels product training and all store meetings
• Assist in the training of new associates in the areas of the store's expertise
• Ability to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner. Programs include: Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400
• Assist in all other assigned duties by the leadership team

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-3 months of sales experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
