Job summary

PedalPub, LLC is seeking fun, upbeat Tour Guides (Pilots) to drive 1–2 hour Baton Rouge bike tours showcasing bars, pubs, and sights. Bring your personality and energy to create the best experience for customers; prior experience matters less than your enthusiasm.

This part-time role requires working nights, weekends, and some holidays. Training starts at $10/hr, with pay rising to $15–$18/hr plus tips; must be 21+, have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, and complete the Pilot

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record with no offenses in the last 5 years and can obtain city permit ID after training.
• Successful completion of Pilot Certification Program.
• Strong communication, reliability and outdoor/interacting with guests.

Responsibilities

• Safely navigate routes with customers.
• Greet customers and complete check-in process.
• Assist customers with merchandise purchases.
• Ensure bikes are clean and conduct maintenance checks.
• Follow policies, procedures and traffic laws.
• Promptly report issues to supervision.
• Assist customers during their tour.
• Snap photos and videos of the group.

ABOUT PEDAL PUB

PedalPub conducts 1 – 2hr tours on a 16-passenger pedal-powered carriage that includes 1-3 stops at various bars, pubs, restaurants, sights, etc. We’re looking for fun, upbeat people with amazing personalities to join our team!

JOB DESCRIPTION

Pedal Pub Bike Tour Guides (Pilots) will drive 1 – 2hr tours that showcase the best Baton Rouge bars, pubs, restaurants, sights, etc. Pilots bring their flair to create the best experience possible for customers. We look for personality more than past experience.

Ideal parttime job for bartenders, servers, baristas, actors, artists, students, comics, fitness trainers, musicians, photographers, and folks looking for a fun, seasonal job.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely navigate customers on routes.
• Greet customers & complete customer check-in process.
• Assist customers with merchandise purchases.
• Ensure bikes are clean, and maintenance checks done prior to tour.
• Follow policies, procedures & traffic laws.
• Promptly report issues to supervision.
• Assist customers during their tour.
• Snap good group pics & video.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Shows up to work on time & is reliable.
• Must work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Per City of Baton Rouge requirements for PedalPub Drivers: Must have clean driving record with a max of 3 violations within last 3 years and clean criminal record check with no offenses within last 5 years. Ability to obtain city-required Operator Permit ID for PedalPub drivers. This includes $61 fee reimbursed by PedalPub after training completion.
• Comfortable being authoritative when needed.
• Ability to create and stick to a schedule. Enjoys outdoors & being interactive.
• Successful completion of our Pilot Certification Program.

JOB TYPE, HOURS, PAY

• Part time only; no benefits.
• Hours range from: 5pm to 10pm THURS, 5pm to 12am FRI, 12pm to 12am SAT, 12pm to 5pm SUN. May occasionally include MON-WEDN.
• $10/hr training then $15-18/hr company paid + some customer paid tips…the more you put into it, the more you can get out of it.
