Job summary

Four Seasons Private Residences is seeking a Bell Attendant in San Francisco to greet residents and guests, assist with luggage, and provide orientation to our luxury residences.

The role requires English proficiency, strong communication, and at least 1 year of bell/guest services experience. You must be able to stand all shift and lift up to 100 lbs; a flexible schedule including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Must have English language proficiency (reading, writing) and excellent communication skills.
• Minimum of 1+ year bell/guest services experience in a hotel.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Stand for 8 hours per shift; able to lift 50–100 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greets all guests in lobby and offers assistance.
• Delivers luggage to rooms on check-in and retrieves luggage on departure; manages storage.
• Provides information about hotel services, hours, and events; assists with inquiries.
• May run errands for guests, including local travel off property.
• Upholds Four Seasons standards and works harmoniously with colleagues.

About the Position

The Bell Attendant is an integral part of the Residential Services Team whose main objective is to ensure our residents are well looked after from the start. As the first and last impression of the Four Seasons Private Residences, this high profile department carries a special responsibility. The Bell Attendant is stationed at the bell stand inside the building and greets each resident by name upon arrival and departure. The Bell Attendant transports luggage to the residences for arrivals and transports luggage for departing residents to the entrance or into temporary storage. The Bell Attendant also provides arriving residents with a Four Seasons Private Residences orientation.

Essential Functions

• Greets all guests passing through lobby and offers them assistance
• Delivers luggage to room upon check-in and picks up luggage from room upon departure, moving the luggage to storage or the Front Drive. Maintains proper records of deliveries and pick-up
• Assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
• May performs errands for guests and the hotel that may require local travel off of the hotel property
• Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible
• Complies with Four Seasons Work Rules and Standards of Conduct
• Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors

Qualifications & Experience

• Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language, excellent communication skills are essential
• Must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will also have a warm welcoming smile, a positive attitude and be knowledgeable about the local area
• Must have minimum of 1+ year bell/guest services experience in a hotel environment
• Must be able to prioritize and multi-task, and have a high attention to detail
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, overnight, weekends & holidays
• Physical by nature, this position requires standing for 8 hours per shift and requires candidates to have the ability to lift and push 50 - 100 lbs, respectively
• High school education or equivalent experience is required
