Job summary

LifeStream is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals in their home and community. This role is a 1:1 male position and requires access to a personal vehicle with an 18-hour weekly schedule (Mon, Wed, Fri, 9a-3p).

The position offers an hourly rate starting at $23.25 and emphasizes respect, dignity, and privacy for residents. No prior experience is required beyond a high school diploma or GED; orientation and trainings are provided after hire.

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Attend LifeStream orientation and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in creating meaningful opportunities to participate in the home and community.
• Ensure daily operations respect privacy, dignity, and autonomy.
• Recognize the individual gifts, preferences, and needs of each person served.
• Partner with individuals in decisions about finances, wellbeing, relationships, and employment.
• Assist with daily needs and ensure activities reflect personal choices.

• The day to day operations of the residential home will reflect an environment that values respect, dignity, and privacy.


• Direct support professionals recognize the unique gifts, preferences and needs of each person supported.


• They partner with them in making informed decisions and everyday choices about their finances, well-being, relationships, and employment


• Assist all individuals with their daily needs and ensure that all activities are reflective of their choices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
