Job summary

LifeStream Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Specialist to support individuals in residential settings and help them engage meaningfully in their homes and communities.

The role focuses on dignity, privacy, and respect, partnering with people to make informed daily choices about finances, health, relationships, and employment while assisting with daily needs and activities that reflect each person’s preferences.

Qualifications

• CORI and fingerprinting are required.
• Valid Driver's license is required.
• Use of personal vehicle for work is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals increating meaningful opportunities to participate in their home and communities.
• Support daily operations of the residential home with respect, dignity and privacy.
• Recognize individual gifts, preferences and needs and partner with them in daily decisions about finances, wellbeing, relationships and employment.
• Assist individuals with daily needs and ensure activities reflect their choices.

Schedule is: Part Time and Full Time

Hourly rate starts at $23.25-$24.25 depending on MAP certification.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In this role as a Behavioral Specialist, you will assist individuals in creating meaningful opportunities to fully participate in the running of their home and become fully immersed in the communities in which they live.
• The day to day operations of the residential home will reflect an environment that values respect, dignity, and privacy.
• Behavioral Specialists recognize the unique gifts, preferences and needs of each person supported.
• They partner with them in making informed decisions and everyday choices about their finances, well-being, relationships, and employment
• Assist all individuals with their daily needs and ensure that all activities are reflective of their choices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Maintenance of an acceptable CORI and fingerprinting
• Valid Driver's license
• Use of personal vehicle for work purposes
• Commitment to the philosophy of community inclusion
