Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center - Behavioral Health seeks a Behavioral Health Therapist to advance physical, mental, and spiritual healing within a faith-based healthcare setting. The role provides psychosocial assessments, individual, group, and family therapies, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning and patient safety.

Part-time schedule 20 hours/week with day shifts and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling (or equivalent health field).
• 1 year experience preferred.
• LGSW/LMSW/LGPC in Maryland or equivalent licensure.

Responsibilities

• Initiates psychosocial assessments and provides comprehensive care.
• Provides individual, group, and family therapies.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to plan interventions.
• Assesses and reports suspected child/adult neglect/abuse cases to relevant agencies.
• Coordinates post-discharge aftercare with community resources.
• Manages crises to maintain safety for clients and staff.
