Allied Universal in Richmond, VA is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a healthcare setting. You will monitor, patrol, and assist patients, visitors and staff with professional service and safety awareness.

Responsibilities include incident response, access control, and documenting events. Requires 1 year security experience, hospital vaccination, and ability to work around a morgue with a background check and drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Be able to restrain individuals.
• At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Criminal histories may be considered in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while following site policies and emergency procedures in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies with calm, problem-solving approaches.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, including entrances, common areas, parking, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management according to procedures.
• Document incidents and observations accurately and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
