Job summary

HeartleafABA in Bangor, ME seeks a compassionate part-time caregiver to work 1:1 with children with autism in their home, roughly 4-6:30pm, up to 20 hours/week. You will follow a plan from our Board Certified Behavior Analyst to help the child develop skills and promote independence.

You will also teach parents strategies so the family learns and progresses together; training for RBT certification is provided at no cost. This role combines nursery school/education support with mentorship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience working with young children, especially those with autism.
• BHP, RBT or Ed Tech certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow a plan created by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst to help the child develop skills.
• Teach the parent skills so the family can learn and progress together.
• Work 1:1 with the child in the home, including toileting and data recording on a tablet.
