Liaisons Community Care in Durham, NC is seeking a part-time Billing Specialist. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with medical billing and CheckPoint EHR.

You will review service documentation, submit claims, and follow up on rejections, denials, and unpaid balances while coordinating with clinical and administrative staff to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Prior medical billing experience, preferably in behavioral health.
• Experience using CheckPoint EHR is required.
• Experience with Medicaid billing and denial follow-up is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

Responsabilités

• Review service documentation and claims for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Submit claims and follow up on rejections, denials, and unpaid balances.
• Research billing discrepancies and work with clinical and administrative staff to resolve them.
• Track claim status, payments, and outstanding accounts.
• Maintain accurate billing records and protect confidential client information.
