Job summary

Crescent Academy is seeking a flexible, supportive Latchkey Aide to supervise students before and after school hours in a friendly, safe environment. This is a part-time role paying $15 per hour, Monday through Friday from 2:45 to 6:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in child development is a plus.
• Experience with children in educational or caregiving settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to relate to children and their families.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during latchkey hours before school, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules to maintain a respectful and orderly environment.
• Assist students with homework and schoolwork, providing support and guidance as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student behavior and any relevant issues.
• Manage conflicts and resolve issues in a calm and constructive manner, fostering a positive atmosphere.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the latchkey program space.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as necessary to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position.
• Other duties as assigned
