Job summary

Crescent Academy is seeking a flexible, friendly latchkey aide for a part-time role in Michigan. The position offers a $15 hourly wage with a Monday–Friday schedule from 2:45 PM to 6:30 PM.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, patient, and committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere for students before school hours. Responsibilities include supervising students, supporting homework, communicating with families and staff, and maintaining a clean, organized latchkey space.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; education in child development or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during latchkey hours before school, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Monitor student behavior and enforce school rules to maintain a respectful and orderly environment.
• Assist students with homework and schoolwork, providing support and guidance as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student behavior and any relevant issues.
• Manage conflicts and resolve issues in a calm and constructive manner, fostering a positive atmosphere.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the latchkey program space.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings as necessary to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position.
• Other duties as assigned
