Qualifications

• Professional bathing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Safely bathe and dry pets, ensuring thorough cleaning and comfort during the process
• Perform outline trims and coat styling to meet owner specifications and breed standards
• Handle animals gently and confidently, using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff
• Assist with pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming maintenance tasks
• Communicate grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions to clients
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, adhering to sanitation protocols
• Assist with kennel management and pet sitting as needed

Duties

• Safely bathe and dry pets, ensuring thorough cleaning and comfort during the process
• Perform precise outline trims and pet coat styling to meet owner specifications and breed standards
• Handle animals gently and confidently, utilizing proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff
• Assist with pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming maintenance tasks
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming preferences, special needs, and aftercare instructions
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, adhering to sanitation protocols
• Assist with animal handling during grooming procedures, including kennel management and pet sitting as needed

Skills

• Experience in dog training, pet grooming, or veterinary settings is highly desirable
• Strong animal handling skills, including canine and feline handling techniques
• Knowledge of veterinary procedures such as veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus
• Familiarity with pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, and animal restraint methods
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling larger animals or equipment
• Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is beneficial for understanding animal behavior and care needs
