Happy Pawz Pet Grooming in Stockton, CA is seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join our team. You will bathe and clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences, trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and ensure pets look and feel their best.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role.
• Comfortable working with anxious animals.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education.
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
• Bathe dogs and dry coat
• Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
• Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
• Trim nails
• Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
• Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
