Qualifications

• Must hold current ASEP, NFHS, or Illinois teaching/substitute-teaching certification.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead, instruct, and supervise students, assistants, and volunteers.
• Knowledge of athletic activity, rules, and strategic play.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to work with a diverse student and staff population.
• Strong character and sound judgement in decision making.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing development of fundamental skills, strategies, and rules.
• Support strength, conditioning, flexibility, mental health, and recovery.
• Foster servant leadership, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
• Maintain regular communication with students, families, staff, and athletic staff.
• Enforce team policies fairly and consistently.
• Assist with evaluating performance criteria for the program and team.
• Maintain records—attendance, statistics, inventory, schedules.
• Schedule training sessions, practices, competitions, and transport.
• Ensure eligibility, safety, and policy compliance.
• Manage inventory and facilities cleanliness and safety.
• Recognize student achievements, attend Awards Night.
• Support feeder programs and summer camps in compliance with regulations.
• Participate in staff training and development; assist Head Coach as needed.
• Maintain positive relationships with media, conference leadership, and alumni.
