Job Overview

Bartenders craft great drinks and provide exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. They are responsible for mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction and comfort.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Prepare and serve beverages according to recipes and customer requests.
  2. Maintain a clean, organized bar area and ensure proper stock rotation.
  3. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally and friendly.
  4. Process payments via cash, credit card, or tabs.
  5. Verify guests' legal drinking age and adhere to alcohol laws and regulations.
  6. Monitor customer behavior and address issues proactively.
  7. Assist in inventory management and supply ordering.
  8. Keep glassware, utensils, and equipment clean and well-maintained.
  9. Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
  10. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service.
  11. Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Essential Qualifications

  • Previous bartending experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of drink recipes and bar operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Must be 18+ years old (or meet state requirements).
  • TIPS certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience in high-volume environments.
  • Knowledge of craft cocktails and mixology.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

The physical demands include standing for extended periods, handling and feeling objects, reaching, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, walking, climbing, balancing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.

Employees must regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift more. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, along with focus adjustment.
