Job summary

PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans in Waller, TX is seeking part-time Baristas to join our team. We’re a community gathering place, training the right candidates in the PJ’s way of crafting beverages and delivering outstanding service.

Applicants should enjoy a fast-paced, positive environment, with coffee experience a plus but not required. Compensation ranges from $10 to $12 per hour including tips and benefits listed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of coffee or food experience.
• Knowledge of coffee and brewing preferred.
• Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Cash handling and basic math abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold drinks per customer needs.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
• Address customer requests promptly and positively.
• Memorize the full menu and ingredients; prepare orders to PJ's standards.
• Assist with restocking and inventory replenishment.
• Check in deliveries.
• Process guest payments and make change.
• Be on time for scheduled shifts.
• Maintain a current Food Handlers certification.
• Stand for long periods and stay alert.
