Job summary

Compass Group USA in Columbia, MD is hiring a Barista for a part-time role. The shift is 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with online applications accepted. You will prepare coffee and related items, handle transactions at the POS, and maintain a clean service area while delivering friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• Makes and serves coffee/espresso drinks and related food items according to standard recipes.
• Interacts with customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Operates a POS device and handles cash and card payments.

Responsibilities

• Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders accurately into POS device; accepts cash and charge payments.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and proper serving temperatures per HACCP standards.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Greets customers and assists in buying decisions to enhance satisfaction.
