Job summary

SpartanNash's Grand Rapids location is seeking a part-time barista to prepare coffee beverages and food items, operate the cash register, and assist customers with a friendly, efficient service style.

The role requires basic math and strong communication, with prior retail experience preferred. Candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, stocking items and maintaining a clean work area in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and operate register.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee shop beverages according to set standards.
• Prepare food items according to procedures.
• Operate cash register and process payments.
• Stock items and rotate coffee and merchandise displays.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with safety guidelines.
• Provide courteous customer service and communicate store programs to customers.
