As a barback, you will assist bartenders and service staff, maintain bar cleanliness, set and clear tables, carry dishes, restock glassware, and serve water, appetizers and coffee.

Qualifications

• Prior barback or food runner experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills and collaborative attitude.
• Desire to satisfy others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate weight.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Flexible to work AM & PM shifts throughout week and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist food service employees in delivering food to tables.
• Maintain cleanliness behind the bar and at tables.
• Set tables, replace linens, replenish supplies.
• Serve water, appetizers and coffee to patrons.
• Support bartenders by keeping the bar stocked and organized.
• Contribute to a seamless guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Join us for this incredible opportunity to start your hospitality career in our newly renovated, award-winning Oystercatchers Restaurant as a Part Time Barback at Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay located in Tampa, FL. Hidden among a natural waterfront landscape just 150 yards from the hotel, Oystercatchers is a favorite among locals and those seeking fresh seafood while enjoying a beautiful view.

Our barback will assist food service employees in delivering food to tables, maintain cleanliness and attend to needs behind the bar, clean tables, carry dirty dishes, replace soiled table linens; setting tables; replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes; and serve water, appetizers and coffee to patrons. The barback also supports bartenders by ensuring the bar is fully stacked, clean, and organized to deliver exceptional service to guests. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficiency behind the bar and helping create a seamless guest experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Prior barback or food runner experience preferred
