Position Summary

The Bar Porter properly stocks and maintains the bar facility. Responsible for providing a gracious, kind, and warm service that creates a sense of Old-World Hospitality and delivers excitement for casino guests. Assists bartenders in maintaining high standards of cleanliness according to food service sanitation codes. Focuses on departmental goals of consistency, quality, and sense of urgency.

General Accountabilities

The following are general responsibilities and are not all-inclusive:

  • Be punctual to pre-shift meetings with a positive attitude and participate actively.
  • Provide an exciting environment and world-class service by delivering Old-World Hospitality and charm, embodying company core values.
  • Follow department standards, guidelines, and objectives, including all food service, sanitation, OSHA, and Hazcom standards.
  • Properly stock and maintain the bar with necessary supplies.
  • Assist bartenders with replenishing supplies as needed.
  • Provide high-quality food and beverage service, adhering to sequence of service standards.
  • Safeguard company assets and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Promote teamwork by assisting co-workers with essential functions.
  • Follow all company policies, including attendance, appearance, and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Practice all alcohol awareness policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, cleaning as you go and addressing spills immediately.
  • Use chemicals responsibly, ensuring they are properly labeled.
  • Maintain floor cleanliness, using wet floor signage when necessary.
  • Remove trash, clean trash cans, and report breakages.
  • Deep clean the bar regularly.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment and perform daily maintenance.
  • Fill ice and keep storage areas clean and organized.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of special events.
  • Help store supplies following the 5S principles, including sorting, setting in order, cleaning, standardizing, and sustaining, with proper dating.
  • Conduct oneself in a gracious, professional, courteous, and responsive manner, reflecting positively on the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Working Conditions

Must be able to:

  • Calculate figures and perform relevant mathematical functions.
  • Follow written, oral, or visual instructions.
  • Resolve problems diplomatically and tactfully.
  • Work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Be physically mobile, able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 60 lbs., and perform various physical tasks in confined or varied spaces.
Job Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, analyze, interpret technical procedures, regulations, and write reports. Attention to detail and confidentiality are essential.
