Description

Spend the 2025 summer season at our beautiful historic seaside Inn (May 1st through end of October).

This position is for local commuting area only. Must be US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, or have Work Authorization. Position is not eligible for H2B, J1, or other similar visa. Housing is not available for this position.

The Banquet Server Position - We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Banquet Server, with previous serving experience preferred, to join our team! Banquet Servers are the face of our banquets and events and responsible for our customers’ experiences. This individual will need to be quick on their feet and have an engaging attitude.

The Job Description - This position reports directly to the Banquets Manager. Primary duties include:

Setup for functions to include draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and put out table centerpieces.

Service to include picking up food from back hall, carrying trays to function location, serve food and clear the food from the tables.

Break down to include bussing tables, putting away dirty linen and centerpieces, vacuuming.

Responsibilities also include cleaning of back hall and organizing of storerooms.

Setup for AM or PM break stations that include coffee, tea, snacks, beverages, etc.

Assist as needed with event room setup according to meal period and table needs.

Perform food & beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee, and ensuring workstations are stocked.

Serve food and beverages to guests.

Removes dishes, glasses, silverware or other items from tables/counter tops and takes them to the kitchen.

Clean and sanitize tables and/or counters & seats after guests are finished.

Explain how various menu items are prepared, cooking methods, and ingredients.

Take into consideration any special request and dietary issues made by the guest.

Offer warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests.

Interact with staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.

Perform a final quality check on food and beverage items prior to serving guests.

Monitor assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality, and additional service.

Address guest issues promptly and with high concern.

Provide assistance to other event and restaurant staff as needed.

Maintain constant awareness of safety issues (i.e., broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, or suspicious persons).

*Requirements: Must have 3 months Server experience.

Must pass background check.

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $22.00/Hr. - $22.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
